Become an Analyst

Policy Analysts play a vital role in PPI’s mission by conducting in-depth policy research, developing advocacy initiatives, and collaborating with community stakeholders. This position offers students the opportunity to engage in real-world policy development, making a meaningful impact on Pittsburgh and its surrounding communities. Analysts will work in teams to lead research and advocacy projects, with opportunities for professional growth through writing, organizing, and public engagement.

Student development is key to our twofold mission. We offer numerous opportunities for growth and learning, and analysts will be exposed to a variety of issues during their experience. From faculty-led workshops on methodological techniques to conversations with practitioners about how policies are implemented, analysts can expect to become well-rounded policy researchers, capable of tackling the most challenging issues society faces.
